平板电脑市场为何销量增长缓慢？平板电脑未解决需求问题

早在两个季度之前，业内分析师们还坚信平板电脑市场的增长速度将永远保持在一定的水平上，或者至少能够保持到数十亿人都拥有一台平板电脑之后才会开始下滑。

据说iPhone已经不再是苹果最重要的产品和收入来源了。iPad将取代iPhone的地位。分析师们都在紧张地计算，一旦iPad总销量超过iPhone苹果将赚多少钱。

然而，现在看来那些猜测并不太可能实现了。平板电脑增长速度在过去几个季度迅速减慢。苹果的平板电脑增长已经停滞。这个原本高速增长的市场为何忽然停滞不前了？分析师们有好几种解释。例如，他们认为导致平板电脑市场停滞不前的因素包括“渗透率增加”、“价格太高”和“缺乏创新”等。

那些因素固然会对平板电脑市场的增长速度造成影响，但我认为真正的原因是：笔记本电脑或智能手机没能解决的“迫切需求”问题，平板电脑也没有解决。

换句话说，消费者没理由同时拥有两台或者三台价格昂贵的个人计算设备。你只要拥有一两台个人计算设备就能满足所有的需求了。考虑到现在的智能手机显示屏比以前大多了，有些人甚至只需要一部智能手机就行了。（因此，假如说必须拥有一台设备，很多人会选择购买智能手机。）

当然也有很多人需要两台设备。对某些人来说，最好的组合将会是智能手机加平板电脑。另外一些人会选择智能手机加笔记本电脑或台式机电脑。除非你是狂热的苹果粉丝，否则你根本不需要拥有并随身携带这三种计算设备。而且你在家里也不可能频繁使用这三种计算设备。

什么才会促使这种情况发生变化呢？答案是价格。假如价格降到足够低的水平上，人们才有可能同时拥有多台计算设备，哪怕那些设备不是主要设备或者它们并不经常会被用到。Android平板电脑的销量之所以超过苹果iPad，价格相对低廉就是一个很重要的原因。

例如我自己就拥有两台设备，一部iPhone加一台MacBook Air。我当然不介意再拥有一台iPad Mini，但我没必要再花300多美元去买一台，因为我现在已经能够用iPhone和Air做到我想要做的所有事情了。我妻子跟我一样也拥有一部iPhone和一台MacBook Air，我的孩子使用的是iPad Mini和iPhone。但是我们家拥有的Kindle却不少，为什么呢？因为Kindle便宜啊，每台才79美元。

因此，假如苹果有一天能够把iPad的价格降到足够低的水平，我们或许还会多买几台iPad Mini。或许到那个时候，平板电脑市场才会开始重现高增长。

与此同时，不管对谁而言，现在也没有理由花太多的钱去不断购买和升级个人计算设备，究竟有一两台这样的设备就够用了。事实上，苹果iPad的价格现在仍然很高，消费者们没必要在新产品一上市就马上升级设备。
