主语从句

1、一个独立的句子是不能作为主语的。

比如：He is handsome is true.这句子是错误的，因为He is handsome不能作为主语的。

这种情况下可以用that来引导定语从句。

改为：That he is handsomeis true.

2、主语从句都可以使用先行词（形式主语）It来构造。以上面的that为例：It is true that he is handsome.

3、当要把一个问句转换为一个主语时就要使用whether/特殊疑问词（what,how,when...）来引导。whether引导一般问句，特殊疑问词引导特殊疑问句。

①Is he ill?

Whether he is ill is still a mystery.

②When will he leave?

When he  will leave is still a question. 

③Why did he get ill?

Why he got ill is still a mystery.

4、主语从句为了避免头重脚轻，都可以使用形式名词It来改变句式。
