【唱歌学英语】

 

 

我的背景音乐《 I'm  yours 》 , 是我最喜欢的英文歌曲之一，今天，我想与大家一同分享我在这首歌当中所学到的英语知识，我把它称为“财富”。

其实呢，在这首歌当中存在许许多多的“财富”，然而今天，我只是简单列举出了这“21笔财富”

（注：我是先列出原歌词，再列出“21笔财富”千万不要没看完就走了咯~）

1.dawned on 来临；出现

After I talked to him, everything dawned on me
和他聊过之后，我明白了一切。

2.melt 融化；溶化；熔化

7.reckon    猜想；估计；设想；考虑；认为；计算（通常指较简单的数学计算，也可指心算）

Please reckon up the bill
请把帐算一下。

We have to reckon with many problems.
我们必须考虑到许多问题。

I reckon you should get up earlier in the morning.
我看你应该早晨早点儿起床。

 

注意：

这些动词均含有“认为”之意。
consider: 指经过考虑和观察后得出的结论。
think: 普通用词，指按照自己的意见提出看法。
believe: 通常指根据一定的证据，经思考后而认为属实。
count: 指作出判断后而得出的看法等。
deem: 正式用词，常用于法律、文学，强调作判断而不是思考。
reckon : 指对人或事作全面“权衡”，把各方面意见考虑进去后得出结论。
regard: 侧重凭外表或表面现象作判断。多强调观点。

 

 

8.hesitate   犹豫；踌躇 ；不情愿；对…犹豫

Why hesitate?
为什么犹豫不决？

10.damn   非常；该死的

11.of the moment 此刻

This is the style of the moment.
这是目前最流行的式样。

He bought that house on the spur of the moment.

12.forsake     放弃；弃绝,；遗弃

He was forsaken by his friends.
他被朋友们背弃了。

You must forsake your bad habits.

13.There`s no need  …没必要

There is no need of your anxiety.

14.complicate   使复杂化

There is no need to complicate matters.
没有必要使问题复杂化。

These events will greatly complicate the situation.
这些事件将使局势变得极其复杂。

 

15.fate. 命运；死亡；毁灭

He struggled against fate.
他对抗命运。

Why did fate deceive me?
为何命运如此欺骗我？

She has resigned herself to fate.
她已经听天由命了。

 

 

16.mirror 镜子；反射

She was look-ing at herself in the mirror.
她正在照镜子。

The pond mirrors the surrounding trees.

17.bend弯曲；屈身

Can you bend this stick? 
你能使这根棍子弯曲吗?

18.vanity自负；自大；虚荣；虚荣心
